On April 22 in Santiago de Compostela Campus Innova of the University of A Coruña, in collaboration with the Conference of Rectors of Southwestern European Universities (CRUSOE) and the Interuniversity Research Center for Atlantic and Cultural Landscapes (CISPAC), organized the conference “DIGITAL CULTURE: capacities, challenges and opportunities in the Science-Technology System of Galicia”.
The purpose of the conference was to share the different capacities of the research groups of the Galician Science and Technology System in the field of digital transition in culture and heritage, as well as the identification of the upcoming challenges and opportunities.
On this important occasion, rurAllure project coordinator Martin Lopez Nores presented the project as an example of innovation within the tourism sector, thanks to its technological approach in re-evaluating the rural heritage in the proximity of cultural paths.
“Santiago’s experience has taught that a constructive tourism that leads to the creation of a more united Europe is possible – he declared during our General Meeting in Padua – and a rural heritage that is just waiting to be (re) discovered could be the key”.
This project has been funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreement no 101004887.
